Kindergarten Math

Module 1:
"Numbers to 10"
In this module, students:
  • Learn to classify objects in their world as the "same" or "different" in color or pattern or use.
  • Start counting objects in different formations in order to learn that they will still have the same amount if the objects are in a line or a circle or scattered.
  • Start learning how to write numbers 1 - 10.

What can you do at home to support the learning in this module?
  • Practice counting with your child from 1 to 10. "Let's hear you count in a whisper voice: 1..."
  • Ask your child to count objects (no more than 10). "How many crackers do you have for snack?"
  • Ask your child to practice writing numerals 0 to 10. "Show me how you write a 1. How about a 2?"
